How to set draft order by horse race
No spreadsheet shuffle and no anticlimactic number draw. Your league sees every name at the gate, watches the same race, and leaves with a complete draft board.
Choose the draft rules
Select snake or linear format and decide whether you want a quick reveal or a longer draft-night broadcast.
Race for every pick
The first horse earns 1.01, the second earns 1.02, and the race continues until the final draft slot is settled.
Use the result correctly
Snake vs. linear draft order
The race creates your Round 1 order. What happens in Round 2 depends on the draft format your league selected.
Snake draft
The order reverses each round, helping balance the advantage of an early first-round pick.
Round 11 → 2 → 3 → … → 10
Round 210 → 9 → 8 → … → 1
Round 31 → 2 → 3 → … → 10
Linear draft
The race result repeats unchanged every round. First place opens each round; last place closes it.

How does the horse race fantasy draft order generator work?
Enter every manager or team once, choose your draft format, and start the race. The horses finish from first through last, and that complete finish order becomes the Round 1 draft order.
Can I use this for a snake draft?
Yes. Use the race result for Round 1, reverse it for Round 2, and continue alternating the order each round. The results screen reminds your league how the snake format works.
How many fantasy teams can I add?
The generator supports leagues from 4 through 14 teams. Quick presets are available for common 8-, 10-, 12-, and 14-team leagues, and pasted lists can use any size in that range.
Does the race generate every draft position?
Yes. Unlike a winner-only random picker, this race keeps running until every horse finishes and then displays the complete 1–N draft order.
Is the fantasy draft order generator free?
Yes. It is free to use in the browser and does not require an account or download.
Can I run it on a phone or share it on draft night?
Yes. The setup, race camera, and full results board are designed for mobile and desktop screens, so a commissioner can run it on a phone or share the browser window with the league.
Are previous fantasy draft orders saved?
Completed draft orders are saved locally in the browser on this device. The league archive keeps up to 20 results, and you can remove one result or clear the archive whenever you want.
Can I copy or share the draft order?
Yes. Every completed result can be copied or shared as formatted text. You can also create a branded PNG draft board to share as an image or download when image sharing is unavailable.
